Halving the SRG would weaken Swiss sport – vote NO on 8 March

On 8 March 2026, Switzerland will vote on the SRG halving Initiative. If approved, it would have serious consequences for Swiss sport. The SRG would be forced to drastically reduce its sports coverage and productions. This would affect numerous sports and events, including the LONGINES CHI CLASSICS BASEL.

Without the SRG, equestrian sport in Switzerland would lose a key media platform. This would have a noticeable effect on youth development and sponsor interest. Visibility is a fundamental prerequisite for sport to thrive at all levels.
Together with many sports federations and event organisers, we are therefore campaigning against this damaging initiative to halve funding.
