Swiss dressage writes history: Charlotta Rogerson sets record in Basel

At the LONGINES CHI CLASSIC BASEL, today’s World Cup dressage freestyle provided top-class sport and groundbreaking results. Isabell Werth took the victory with Wendy de Fontaine. After a long break in the autumn, the exceptional German athlete thus collected her first World Cup points of the current season.

Charlotta ‘Kiki’ Rogerson thrilled the crowd with Bonheur de la Vie, finishing in second place. Yesterday, she had already achieved her personal best in the Grand Prix – with more points than ever before at international level, and that with a horse that had never competed in a World Cup event before. In today’s freestyle, Rogerson significantly surpassed this performance once again: she performed this freestyle for the first time ever and achieved the highest score by a Swiss rider since Ruth Haas became team manager.

Raphael Netz came third with DSP Dieudonné. With his performance in Basel, he further extended his lead in the Dressage World Cup and underlined his strong form this season.
