Ten of the top twelve of the Longines Ranking in Show Jumping take part
The absolute best show jumpers are coming to Basel. Henrik von Eckermann (World No. 1), Swedish World Champion and Team Olympic Champion, leads the illustrious field. Martin Fuchs (World No. 2) is World Cup winner and European Team Champion. The Frenchman Julien Epaillard (World No. 3) is in brilliant form. He won the World Cup competitions in Lyon and Madrid. The Dutch rider Harrie Smolders (World No. 4), the German Daniel Deusser (World No. 7), Simon Delestre from France (World No. 8), the Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (World No. 9) and Maikel van der Vleuten (World No. 10) are also among the favourites.
Just like Peder Fredricson (World No. 11), the Team Olympic and World Champion from Sweden, who won the silver medal in the individual event in Tokyo. And with Kevin Staut (world no. 12) the third Frenchman in this illustrious circle. For all of them, it’s already getting down to business on Thursday, 12 January 2023, in the 60,000 franc prize of the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois, starting at 20:30. On Friday evening, the Longines Grand Prix is on the programme, on Saturday, two top-class competitions will be held and on Sunday, the World Cup competition will be the crowning finale.
