Five of the top eight in the dressage world rankings compete in Basel
What a dressage premiere at the LONGINES CHI CLASSICS BASEL! The double Olympic champion from Tokyo, winner of all three gold medals at the European Championships 2021 in Hagen, World Cup Final winner 2022 in Leipzig and World No. 1, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, has registered with her wonder mare TSF Dalera BB. She will be challenged by Isabell Werth, the most successful rider of all time. She is currently the world No. 3 and will be competing with her stallion DSP Quantaz, with whom she won bronze with the German team at the World Championships this August in Herning. It was her twelfth World Championship medal.
Also competing are the Dutch two-time bronze medallist Dinja von Liere as World No. 6, Patrik Kittel from Sweden (World No. 7) and Benjamin Werndl, the current World No. 8, as well as Nanna Skodborg Merrald from the Danish gold team of the 2022 World Championships and Dorothee Schneider from the German Olympic gold team in Tokyo. Estelle Wettstein, Gilles Ngovan and Carla Aeberhard make up the Swiss delegation. The field of participants promises a dressage premiere in a class of its own!
