🎟️ Wildcard for the LONGINES CHI CLASSICS BASEL 2026!

A very special award was presented in the Junior Grand Prix at the Zurich Youth Masters in Dielsdorf at the weekend:
CHI CLASSICS BASEL provided the winner with a wildcard for the U25 competitions in the 2026 edition. 🏆

The OC President of the Youth Masters, Yves von Ballmoos, presented it to the French rider Marine Segura on Fisalys de Lyr. 🇫🇷

🏆 Eva Gautschi is the new Swiss Elite Show Jumping Champion / Promising talent among the young riders at the SM in Kappelen-Lyss🇨🇭

Not only did 20-year-old Noah Keller and Atlanta des Sequoias become Swiss Champion in the Young Riders category, but shortly afterwards he also secured third place in the Elite Final in the saddle of Nestor VDR. 🏆

Gaëtan Joliat also impressed: the 19-year-old rode Verone de Hus Z to the runner-up title in the Young Riders category in the afternoon and took the silver medal in the Elite category in the evening with Just Special VK.

👏🏻 An outstanding performance by the two young riders, which impressively demonstrates how successful the Swiss promotion of young talent in show jumping is.

In the Elite final, they were only beaten by Eva Gautschi, who triumphed with her own-bred gelding, Beam Me Up Scotty vom Weihergut. This is her first Swiss championship title in the Elite category 🏅

Congratulations to everyone - we are already looking forward to seeing many of the successful pairs again in Basel! 👋🏻

🌡️ Summer is back and with it the hot weather 🥵 What does this actually mean for riders and horses? What should show organisers pay particular attention to?
To answer these questions, the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale) has published the «Beat the Heat» guide. ☀️

ℹ️ This campaign offers valuable advice on how to keep horses optimally cooled and cared for during the hot summer months to ensure their well-being.

➡️ Here are some helpful tips from the series:

1. acclimatisation: gradually get the horse used to hot, humid environments - for example with short training sessions at warmer times of the day. This builds up tolerance and minimises subsequent stress. ☀️
2. feeding and water supply: No changes just before travelling, unrestricted access to water and add electrolytes if necessary. 💦
3. cooling techniques: seek shade, cool both sides simultaneously, use ice-water. 🚿

🥇 Richard Vogel and United Touch S are European Champions / Little competition luck in the individual final for the Swiss riders 🥲

Incredible performance from Richard Vogel and United Touch S! They remain clear over five rounds and deservedly take the title in A Coruña 🤩 The pair from Germany have already impressed time and again with great results – including here in Basel with a sixth place in the World Cup Final.

🇨🇭 After fantastic clear rounds across all days from Janika Sprunger with Orelie, Nadja Peter Steiner on Mila and Steve Guerdat in the saddle of Albfuehren’s Iashin Sitte, the Swiss riders were unfortunately a little unlucky today. Steve Guerdat and Albfuehren’s Iashin Sitte were the best Swiss riders in twelfth place.
In the team classification on Friday, the Swiss team consisting of Géraldine Straumann, Nadja Peter Steiner, Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs also secured 5th place. 👏🏻
