Following his historic victory in the World Championships, Steve Guerdat has confirmed his participation in the LONGINES CHI CLASSICS BASEL, starting on 7 January 2027.
At the FEI World Championships in Aachen, he secured the individual world championship title on his mare Dynamix de Belheme – the first Swiss rider ever to do so. Over five demanding rounds, the rider from the Jura and his mare were the only pair in the field to complete the course without a single knockdown, leaving Belgium’s Thibeau Spits (silver) and Britain’s Harry Charles (bronze) behind them. In front of around 40,000 spectators in the main stadium at Aachen’s Soers, the 44-year-old realised a long-cherished dream. Guerdat is thus the only rider to have won Olympic, World and European Championship titles, as well as the World Cup, in his career.
